The Work Book Introduction

Before we get started on our adventure in learning about money, let me introduce you to the characters you will run into as you make your way through this book. They are Elizabeth, Lytle and Matthew. They all happen to be my grandchildren. At the time of writing they were the perfect age to start learning about money and a source of inspiration for this humble effort. You may also find some pictures of me, The Grand Dad of Grants, the Faught of the Franklins, The Wizard of Wampum, or whatever. We want you to join us on an interactive search for knowledge. You can read and color on these pages. Either way, have fun and be sure to ask questions if there is something you do not understand or want made clearer. Your trainer, that’s what I call whoever helps you in this project, whether parent, grandparent, or other family member, teacher or mentor, has access to the Training Guide for Mentors book that is part of this set and has clues to where you can find answers to tough questions. Or even better, you read the Trainer’s book or research the answers to your questions online. You are never too old to like to color. When I go to a restaurant that has a white paper table cloth and crayons setting on it, I love to sketch and color. Sometimes I’ll even color a Kid’s menu. And I am as old as the hills.
