Curriculum Vitae
I am an Associate Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. I am a member of the executive board of the European Banking Center and CentER fellow.
I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. Before joining Tilburg University as an Assistant Professor, I have been a CREA Research Fellow at the Universitat Autónoma of Barcelona.
My research has been published in the Journal of Finance; Management Science; Review of Finance; Journal of Financial Intermediation; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Banking and Finance; and Macroeconomic Dynamics. I served as an associate editor of the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking.
Soon after my undergraduate studies, I have co-authored with Franco Modigliani and Mario Baldassarri the book: “Il miracolo possibile: un programma per l'economia italiana” (The possible miracle: a program for the Italian Economy), Roma, Laterza, 1996.
I have been Visiting Scholar at MIT (Sloan School of Management), SUNY at Stony Brook, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Einaudi Institute of Economics and Finance.
I have been teaching courses in Corporate Finance, Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, Global Banking, International Financial Management, Financial Intermediation and Liquidity. As a BCC expert, I have been giving executive courses at Central Banks located in developing countries.
