System Requirements

• Windows XP or later, and IGOR Pro 6.00 or later.

• Macintosh OS 10.5 Leopard or later, and IGOR Pro 6.00 or later.

Demo version of IGOR Pro is freely available for 30 days from here.

Installation

• Install IGOR Pro.

• Download "InstallEthographer.zip" and extract files. You will find "PromptEthograher.ipf" file and "Ethographer" folder.

• Open "Igor Pro User Folder", which is usually located in "C:\Users\<user>\Documents\WaveMetrics" on Windows, and "/Users/<user>/Documents/WaveMetrics" on Mac. You will find "Igor Procedures" and "User Procedures" folders. See "Special Folders" section in volume II-3 (Experiments, Files and Folders) of IGOR online manual for details.

• Copy "PromptEthograher.ipf" file to "Igor Procedures" folder. Copy "Ethographer" folder to "User Procedures" folder.

• Run IGOR Pro.

• “Run Ethographer” will appear at the bottom of Misc in IGOR Pro menu.

Uninstallation

• Delete "PromptEthograher.ipf" in "Igor Procedures" and "Ethographer" folder in “User Procedures”.

• Win Vista and Win 7 users may find the Ethographer files and folders in “C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\WaveMetrics\Igor Pro Folder\” (replace xxx with the user name).

How to run Ethographer

• Run IGOR Pro. To run Ethographer properly, you may run IGOR Pro as an Administrator in Windows.

• In the IGOR Pro menu, choose Misc -> Run Ethographer.

• “Ethographer” will appear in the IGOR Pro menu.
