Chapter 3: Work

Chapter 3 builds on what students learned in Chapter 2. Now instead of E1 = E2; the equation becomes E1 + Work = E2.

• determine the work done by a force;

• factor in work done by different forces;

• measure the force of friction;

• use a slingshot to launch a box across the ground so it stops at a certain spot.
