A very warm welcome to all our new members. Visit the clubhouse on Thursdays, meet and get to know the other members and also participate in the club runs. Shower facilities are available after your run or walk.
Ensure you read the DAC 2009 Performance Programme and participate in races to enjoy the rewards once you have achieved the goals as set out therein.

“Did you ever see an unhappy horse? Did you ever see a bird that had the blues? One reason why horses and birds are not unhappy is because they are not trying to impress other horses and birds.”
Latest update as at 13 May 2009
After the Savages 21Km run on Sunday, Khaya and Yusuf were joint FIRST in cracking the INCENTIVE GOLD MARK of 125 Points. They are both sitting on 126 points. The next runner should be Suren who is on 104.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
TO THE 6 MEMBERS WHO HAVE REACED THE 50 POINT GOAL DURING FEBRUARY 2009
FIRST TO FIFTY : KITTY
JOINT SECOND : YUSUF & VIS
FOURTH : SUREN
FIFTH (1st LADY) : SHAKUN
SIXTH : HELENE
WELL DONE, KEEP RUNNING & GOOD-LUCK! REMEMBER, THE GOLDEN GOAL IS 125 POINTS.
(FIVE MONTHS GONE – ONLY SEVEN TO GO!!!)
To date i.e. as at Sunday 8th March 2009, the Leader Board has changed slightly. The new leader is now Yusuf with 73 points, Suren moves up to 2nd with 69 points, Vis drops to 3rd with 67 points & unfortunately (I guess it’s the love of sleeping in) Kitty drops from the lead, right down to 4th with 66 points. The two ladies that are currently in contention, keep their 5th & 6th positions, Shakun on 60 points & Helene on 55 points.
Chasing the leading pack and also threatening the 50 Point Goal, are two members, Malcolm Millar on 45 points & Morgan Chetty on 44 points. (Keep it up guys).
To the rest of the Members, there is still time & a good few races left, so you too can reach the 50 Point Goal. Remember, the cost-free and easiest way to earn points is simply to run the DAC Mile (1 point) and the DAC Time Trial (3 points) every month.
SEE YA AT THE CLUBHOUSE.
Regards
Trevor Cadir
ANOTHER MONTHLY INCENTIVE
All members who run the Mile, the Thursday Club runs and the Time Trial will qualify for a T-shirt after the time trial which is the final event for the month.
