India-China Conference

About the Conference

Organized with the financial support of the CEPREMAP, the India-China conference follows a threefold objective:

- Create an occasion for leading scholars and economists working on China and India to present and debate their researches and their viewpoints;

- Propose an opportunity for academics as well as the general public to be informed of the latest advances in the analyses of the experiences of the two emerging Asian giants.

- Contribute to the formation of a network of young French scholars working on India and/or China.

It aims at filling a unique slot in the landscape of economic research events. Conferences with a regional focus are rare in economics, although it is obvious that research projects benefit from strong contextual knowledge.

At the same time, the juxtaposition of research on India and China lends itself to comparisons and debates that are valuable for the further development of the research agendas on these countries.
