Challenge & Mystery

2022 Round Robin Challenge

Form and instructions

Round Robin quilts are collaborative quilts pieced from the center out. The originator makes a center block.
Then it is passed around to each person, and each adds a border of their choosing and then passes it along to the next person.

Remember, once you sign up for this exchange, you are committed to meeting the deadlines and finishing the project. Other people are depending on you.

Please do not share the quilt’s progress with the “owner”—she will only see it at the final reveal party. But feel to show others and ask for advice if you would like.

Feel free to add to the fabrics in the bag you receive but try to maintain the color theme in the main block. Putting small amounts of the fabric you added in the bag is optional. The idea is that the finished quilt has harmony.

Step 1.) Create a block to be used as the center of your quilt. Minimum size 12″ per side, maximum size 16″ per side. It CAN be rectangular! It can be pieced, appliqued, painted, a pretty panel, whatever you want as long as it fits in that size.

2022 UFO Challenge

Select 12 Projects. Arrange from oldest to newest. #1 being the oldest and #12 the newest.

Each month a number will be drawn. This is the number of the project to work on that month.

You might finish it or you may not. The big idea is your personal satisfaction and the feeling of the larger group supporting each other. It would be really neat if you could take a picture and post it to the Show and Tell face book page, CVQGNY SHOW AND TELL.
