Validation

CRISIS code is a validated code. That means that the CRISIS code has been tested to verify the certainty and quality of the computed results.

CRISIS code has been evaluated in different stages. For instance, CRISIS was tested before it was selected as the standard code to assess seismic hazard into the RISK-UE project (Faccioli et al, 2010).

In 2010 the crisis code was evaluated with the set 1 of standard tests (Villani et al 2010), defined by the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (Thomas et al, 2010).

The validation executed by Villani et al is summarized in the following document:

- Verification of CRISIS 2008 code.

During the 2014 year a new validation process of CRISIS was started. The main results will be published soon.
