Assigning both map and cities files.

Procedure to assign both map file and cities file in CRISIS2015.

The main steps to choose cities file and map file are mentioned in the following section:

Step 1. Open the screen of both map and cities. In order to open this screen it is possible to use the Menu Input and then choose the command “Maps (optional)” (Figure 1).

Step 2. Double click into the rectangle to the right of the words Map File if this map can be assigned, or double click into the rectangle to the right of the words Cities File if this cities file can be assigned (Figure 2).

Step 3. The explorer screen must appear in order to look for the map file or the cities file. By default CRISIS looks for a Shape File, therefore it is looking for a shape file extension (*.shp). However, it is also possible to choose a text file (*.asc). For this purpose it is necessary to change the extension that can be showed into the explorer windows (Figure 3).

Step 4. If a map file or a cities file or both are selected then it is possible to draw the cities and the map, if the Drawn button is chosen (Figure 4).
