Creating a Memo

  1. Long press on an empty portion of your home screen.
  2. Tap the "Widgets" item. It is the one with the gears as the icon.
  3. Tap on one of the sticky memo widgets which are labeled by their size like "1x1 sticky note" and "4x3 sticky note."
  4. Observe that a yellow note of your size appeared on your screen OR see a popup saying you did not have room on your home screen appears. If the latter, choose a different size that will fit into the empty spot you chose.
  5. Tap on the yellow note to begin editing its contents.
  6. Start typing into the yellow area.
  7. Click the "Save" button to save your note.
  8. Observe that your note has the text you just typed!

Customizing the Widget List

  1. Pull up your applications menu via the grey tab at the bottom of your home screen.
  2. Find the "Sticky Memo Widget Pro" application which looks like a bunch of notes of different colors stacked upon each other.
  3. Tap the icon and wait till you see a screen listing your memos or a message about you having no memos.
  4. Press the "menu" button on your phone.
  5. Tap the menu icon for "Widget Sizes."
  6. Read the note carefully that appears explaining that you must reboot your phone after making changes.
  7. Check the boxes to enable the size or uncheck the boxes next to the size to disable them.
  8. Reboot your phone by holding the power button and selecting "Power Off" from the menu. Turn on your phone and wait till the home screen appears.
  9. Following steps 1-2 of "Creating a memo" to bring up the widget list. Witness that the widget list has only the sizes you selected!

Changing Note Appearance

  1. Follow steps 1-5 of "Creating a Memo" to start editing a note.
  2. Press the "menu" button on your phone.
  3. Select "Note Color," "Text Color," "Text Size," or "Text Appearance" by tapping on their icons.
  4. Tap on one of the choices to change the appearance of the note.
    1. TIP: Try pressing the "menu" button in the "Note Color" or "Text Color" screens to add custom colors!
  5. Observe the change in the note's appearance.

Adding Note Styles

  1. Follow steps 1-5 of "Changing Note Appearance" to customize a note's appearance.
  2. Press the "menu" button on your phone.
  3. Select "Styles" by tapping on its icon.
  4. Observe a message talking about no styles.
  5. Press the "menu" button again on your phone.
  6. Select "Add" by tapping on the plus icon.
  7. Enter a name for your style like "Regular Note" or "Red Emergency Note" to identify the style.
  8. Observe that the note's appearance has been saved as a style.

Using Note Styles

  1. Make sure you have at least one style by following steps 1-8 of "Adding Note Styles."
  2. Now follow steps 1-3 of "Creating a Memo".
  3. Observe that the "Styles" screen appears rather than a yellow note.
  4. Tap on one of the styles OR choose "Default" by pressing the "menu" button on your phone.
  5. Observe that now the note appears on the home screen but with the appearance saved in the style.

Pasting Clipboard Contents into Memos

  1. Copy some text into your clipboard. For instance, copying some text from a webpage in the Browser.
  2. Follow steps 1-3 of "Creating a Memo".
  3. Follow steps 1-3 of "Customizing the Widget List" to get the Sticky Memo Widget Pro application started.
    1. TIP: Bind "Sticky Memo Widget Pro" to quick launch shortcut, so you can quickly bring it up when browsing the web. Access "Quick Launch" settings via the "Settings" icon, choosing "Applications," and then hitting the "Quick Launch" item.
  4. Observe that your memo appears in the list.
  5. Long press on the memo.
  6. Select the "Paste from clipboard" option from the menu.
  7. Tap on your memo to start editing the note.
  8. Observe that the note has the clipboard's text appended at the end.
