    • This is due to an internal bug in the Android framework: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/7cf5b928f6ac36dc

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. The program would not open after I downloaded it, and I cannot seem to find the icon for the program. Can you please fix it?
    1. This program is a Android 1.5 widget. A widget is like the clock or the search bar that appears on your home screen. Thus, it is not meant to be launched like the browser or music application. To use the sticky note widget, long press on your home screen, select "Widgets", and choose one of the sticky note widgets. The sticky note should appear on your home screen if there is enough visible space available. Tap on the note to edit it and then press the "Save" button.
  2. There are too many widget sizes. I'd rather have a separate dialog to choose the widget size I need.
    1. Yes, what I would like to have is the ability to have just one item for sticky notes and then be prompted for the widget size. Alas, that is not the way the current Android framework works. Android requires you to have a widget per size. However, you can now configure which particular sizes show up in the widget list! In "Sticky Memo Widget Lite" 1.7.0, you can now start the "Sticky Memo Widget Sizes" application and check the sizes you want to show up in your widget list. Unfortunately, you must then reboot your phone to make the changes take place. This is just yet another quirk of the Android framework. Let's hope that Android 2.0 addresses some of these limitations.
  3. Can you make this widget aHome compatible?
    1. It seems that the upcoming aHome releases will be supporting Google 1.5 widgets, so you'll just have to hang on! Thanks aHome for following standards and making it easier for developers!
