In the mid seventies a BSSRS Policy discussion started. In late 1975 'BSSRS 'The Way Forward' was a draft statement that attracted comment from Bill Macmillan (Ext Relations for Chemical Industry) and Maurice Wilkins (our Nobel Laureat President)..

An internal BSSRS Bulletin was started , the purposes of which were to: "keep members informed of BSSRS activities and to be a forum for political debate on its work and aims." See file below for first 10 pages, that include the draft statement and those comments from Bill and Maurice.
