Deadly Embrace by Eric Paice February 2016

SYNOPSIS

Angry and bitter after throwing out her unfaithful husband, Julia is only too ready to succumb to the charms of the good-looking young man, Steven Jones, who arrives shortly afterwards, ostensibly to update her husband’s computer equipment. At first, Julia enjoys playing games on Aladdin, the ‘female-friendly’ computer, particularly when it invites her to play the Murder Game, and she can fantasise for an evening about how easy it would be to commit the perfect murder by computer, with her errant husband as the victim. Trying to stop the program the next morning, however, is not so easy, and after a tense and dramatic struggle with the keyboard, Steven only just manages to delete the murder menu in time. But the nightmare is not over for Julia, for, two days later, her husband’s body is found in her bed. It rapidly becomes apparent that neither Steven nor his computer is all they seem.
