I strive to stay active in my continuing goal of volunteering to help my community, Orlando, FL. I love nature and I think that it is important for people to stay connected with being outside. That is why I volunteered with Keep Orlando Beautiful to help repaint city park benches within our city park system.

During 2009, I believe I was the only person in our entire city volunteering for this task. During the process of repainting the city park benches (whatever free time I could find after work or on a weekend morning), I decided to help K.O.B. by surveying as many city parks (and bus stops) as I could, and then created a map showing the benches that had been repainted as well as other park amenities. Following is a sample of some of the maps.
