LOR policy
Because a large number of students request recommendations for higher studies (MS and PhD), I adhere to the the following guidelines:
I provide LOR to only those students who have worked on a research project (not course projects) under my supervision and guidance.
Send a LOR request at least three-four weeks in advance.
Provide the following materials while requesting for LOR:
1) CV
2) Summary of research work done under my supervision (not more than half page - problem statement/ skills learned/ major contribution/ publications if any)
3) The program details (Univ. and program name ) to which you are applying (preferably web-link) and the deadline for LOR. If you are applying to more than one school, provide me a table (Univ/ Program name/ Deadline).
I only write LORs for students who have waived their right of access because admissions committees generally disregard non-confidential letters.
