Assessing the Effect of Video

Here you can find all of the materials relating to the study "A Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Video versus Text: Video Tutoring in High School Mathematics Assignments Using ASSISTments."

The goal of this study was to determine the effectiveness of video tutoring when compared to traditional text explanations. In order to accomplish this, problem sets were created where students would be randomly assigned to one of two groups, one of which used video to explain the solution to a problem, while the other one used text.
