Initial Consultation & Treatment

45 Minutes £55

The initial consultation and treatment will consist of the following:

15 minute consultation questionnaire to discuss:

- past and present medical conditions,

- past and present aches, pains, injuries, operations etc,

- current ache, pain or injury and expected outcomes from the treatment,

- any appropriate joint or muscle testing.

30 minute treatment:

- ASM musculoskeletal treatment if a specific ache, pain, injury is identified, to also include rehabilitation exercise prescription.

- ASM sports massage for non specific aches, pains and general training fatigue or maintenance. 

Musculoskeletal Treatment - Pain/ Injury 

Follow up - 45 Minutes £55 

Follow up - 30 Minutes £40

A musculoskeletal treatment combines a wide range of treatment techniques to not only assess and treat the following common conditions, but also find the root cause and any underlying factors that maybe contributing to the injury or pain. 

- sports injuries 

- work related injuries

- sprains, strains & general pain

- poor posture

- headaches/ whiplash

- back, hip & sciatica pain

- general shoulder pain

- rotator cuff pain/ frozen shoulder

- tennis/ golfers elbow

- wrist pain/ carpel tunnel syndrome

- general knee pain

- ITB syndrome/ runners knee

- shin splints

- achilles tendinitis/ planter fasciitis

Sports Massage - Maintenance/ Recovery 

Follow up - 45 minutes £55

Follow up - 30 Minutes £40

A range of massage and soft tissue release techniques are used for a whole/ half body treatment to aid the athlete in their recovery from training or competition in the following ways:

Physiological

- reduces muscle soreness/ stiffness

- reduces muscle pain/ tension

- breakdown scar tissue

- increases range of motion

- improves performance

Psychological

- reduces stress/ anxiety

- invigorating

*Please note that taping, electrotherapy and dry needling are not used as part of a sports massage treatment service.

Kinesiology Taping Only

Kinesiology taping treatment will consist of an assessment of the specific body part or injury followed by an appropriate taping technique to help:

- reduce pain

- reduce swelling

- reduce bruising

- support an injured joint/ muscle

- improve posture

*Please note kinesiology taping may also be used as part of the musculoskeletal treatment service. 

Benefits of  Dry Needling

Dry needling treatment will be used when appropriate in conjunction with other treatment techniques and as part of the musculoskeletal treatment service. Dry needling can be used to aid treatment of:

- acute & chronic pain

- various forms of tendinitis

- various sport/ non sports injuries

Benefits may include:

- pain relief

- release muscle tension

- promote tissue healing/ recovery

- increase range of motion

* Please note there may be times when dry needling cannot be used and does not form part of the sports massage service.

Benefits of  Dry Cupping

Dry cupping treatment will be used when appropriate in conjunction with other treatment techniques and as part of the musculoskeletal treatment service. Dry cupping can be used to aid treatment of:

- acute & chronic pain

- muscle fatigue

- various sport/ non sports injuries

Benefits may include:

- pain relief

- release muscle tension

- promote tissue healing/ recovery

- increase range of motion

* Please note there may be times when dry cupping cannot be used. Dry cupping may form part of the sports massage service.

Benefits of Electrotherapy Treatment

Electrotherapy treatment will be used when appropriate in conjunction with other treatment techniques and as part of the musculoskeletal treatment service. Electrotherapy can be used to aid treatment of:

- acute & chronic pain

- strains & sprains

- tendinitis

Benefits may include:

- pain relief

- promote tissue healing

- reduce local swelling/inflammation

- breakdown scar tissue

*Electrotherapy treatments available include ultrasound, micro-current & interferential. Please note there may be times when electrotherapy cannot be used and does not form part of the sports massage service. 

Benefits of Stretching & Strengthening Exercise

As part of the musculoskeletal treatment service appropriate stretching and strengthening exercises are provided to aid clients in their recovery from pain or injury.

Benefits of stretching & strengthening:

- improved flexibility/ range of motion

- relax over worked muscle groups

- strengthen weak muscles

- overcome muscle imbalances

- stabilise weak joints

- improve posture

- speed up recovery from pain or injury

- prevent future pain or injury
