(Competitive Gymnasts Levels 4-10)
Several levels are currently offered in the USAG program for boys, ages 6 to 18. USAG allows competition in the following levels for the age-groups noted.

Compulsory:
These are competitive levels which follow the following age group and scoring break downs (highest competitive event):
Level 4 – 6, 7-8, 9-10, 11 & over (state)
Level 5 – 7-8, 9-10, 11 & over (regional)
Level 6 – 7-8, 9-10, 11 & over (regional)
Level 7 - 9-10, 11-12, 13 & over (regional)
Level 8 - 11-12 (national), 13-14, 15-18 (regional)
Level 9 - 13-14 (national), 15-16, 17-18 (regional)
Level 10 - 15-16, 17-18 (national)

Optionals:
Competitors will perform optional routines. Gymnasts advance to the Junior Olympic National Championships based upon their optional routines qualification through the Regional Championships. (highest competitive event)
Cubs (Pre-Team) This is intended as an introductory level with performance to be exhibition only and with no evaluation criteria. Classes are available through the Barcroft recreational gymnastics program at Arlington County's Online Registration. This class is a recruitment for the boys team. The boys in this class are working towards moving into level 4 Tigers. Gymnastics staff give our coaches the names of participants that they think would be good for this group so the recruitment comes from the class program.
