3) Den Assignment - After the September Pack meeting, new Cub Scouts will be assigned to a Den of same grade boys or girls. The Cubmaster will contact you with that information and provide you the Den Leaders information.

4) First Meeting - The Den's typically meet the second week of the month. Check with your Den Leader before this week to confirm place, time, and what to bring or wear to this first meeting.

5) Bobcat Badge - All new scouts need to complete the Bobcat badge first. This easy badge will orient you to the Cub Scout Oath, Law, and other principles. Information on the Bobcat Badge can be found at the beginning of your Cub Scout Book. Webelos need to commit the Oath and Law to memory. Younger Scouts should do their best to learn and understand these, but memorization is not expected at this level.

6) Your Cub Scout Book - The book is organized into Adventures. An Adventure is a set of activities that the boy can do to earn an award. There are required adventures and elective adventures. The required adventures must be completed by the end of the school year for the boy to earn his Rank Badge for the year. Most required adventures will be completed at Den Meetings. However, there may be specific requirements in an adventure that need to be completed at home.

Not all adventures in the book will be done at Den Meetings. Some adventures can be done at home as a family. Check them out and have FUN!! You and your Cub Scout can do many of these other adventures at home together. The DUTY TO GOD ADVENTURE MUST be done at home with your family; this is a required adventure.

7) ScoutBook - ScoutBook is the online system the Pack uses to track advancement. You should expect an email from the Cubmaster inviting you to join ScoutBook. Familiarize yourself with the site once you join. Any adventure requirements you complete at home should be logged on Scoutbook so your Den Leader or the Cubmaster can sign off on them.

8) Check Pack Calendar and Announcements for Upcoming Events.

Have Fun!!
