Ann Arbor Pack 101

Welcome to the website of Ann Arbor's FORMER Cub Scout Pack 101!

If you have found this site, you may be exploring Cub Scouting or perhaps a Cub Scout already.

Pack 3101 provided an exciting and valuable program to the children of Ann Arbor, especially the Burns Park and Angell school neighborhoods, for many years. Then in early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit - closing schools, eliminating gathering events, and shutting down the Pack's Cub Scout meetings. Unfortunately, over the course of the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years, membership dropped dramatically because of this. The beginning of the 2021-2022 school year held the promise of a reactivation, but the Pack's leadership had gradutated to (Boy) Scouting and the Pack could not find enough new parents to fill the required positions. In the fall of 2021, the Pack was unable to re-register for the 2021-2022 school year and shut down.

Cub Scouting, like so many youth activities, requires parent involvement, time, effort, and commitment. It is especially focused on family participation. If you are a parent and want your child to have an amazing experience, please find a Cub Scout pack, join it, sign up to be a Leader. No experience necessary. Only the willingness to enhance kids lives.
