Profile:
I have experience in the treatment of a wide range of acute and chronic disorders. I have extensive clinical experience under Dr D. S. Rama Rao, a senior homoeopath of Bangalore, along with a private practice of over 15 years duration. I treat neurodevelopmental disorders and a wide range of general disorders including that of skin and hair, respiratory system, bones and joints, metabolic disorders including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension and cardiac disorders, digestive disorders, allergies, gynecological disorders, supportive therapy for cancer, etc.
I have particular experience in the treatment of childhood developmental disorders, more specifically in the treatment of autism in children. I have worked as a consultant to a special school for children with autism and severe mental handicaps. I have documented improvements in specific skill areas such as, pre-requisite learning skills, social skills and speech, language and communication skills. I have conducted my own scientific research in this field. I have publications in peer reviewed international journals and presented original research studies in international conferences including one in Bahrain.
I have worked as a Homeopathic Physician and Faculty at Gokula AYUSH Arogyadhama, Centre for Holistic Well-Being, A Unit of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Hospitals for two years. I have very briefly served as a Lecturer in Materia Medica at Bhagwan Buddha Homeopathic Medical College, Bangalore. I worked as an honorary homeopathic physician at a bi-weekly homeopathic clinic in the Child Guidance Centre, Antara Hospital, a charitable psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation centre, Hariharpur village, Kolkata for about a year.
In the course of my work, I have had extensive experience in counselling of children and their families using various psychotherapeutic approaches. I routinely use counselling and psychotherapeutic techniques in my practice providing a holistic treatment approach. I have been incorporating music therapy in children with developmental disorders with very good results. I recently conducted a music therapy program and completed a study along with a music student from Leeds University, UK using music therapy in patients with chronic mental disorders at Antara Psychiatric Hospital, Kolkata.

1. Study of effects of Homoeopathic treatment in Autism – (Co-Authored) First National Conference on Autism organized by the Institute for Cognitive and Communicative Neurosciences in Nov 99.This paper deals with the case studies of children with autism treated with homoeopathy and the results obtained therefrom.
2. New Dimensions in the Treatment of Autism with Homoeopathy - XII National Homoeopathic Congress in Khajuraho in Jan2001.This paper deals with a unique approach in the treatment of Autism with Homoeopathy.
3. Theory of Suppression and Miasms as a Cause for Autism- Presented at the National Homoeopathic Conference held in Patna in Feb. 2003.This paper deals with how emotional repression and suppression of physical ailments can lead to the development of autism in a child.
4. Role of Homoeopathy in the Management of Autism: Presented at the South Asian Regional Conference on Autism-Building Bridges in January 2008 organized by Action for Autism, New Delhi. This originalresearch article has been published in the peer reviewed International Journal, ‘The Internet Journal of Alternative Medicine’
