Environmental science is the study of how humans affect and are affected by their environment. Students study the chemistry, biology, and ecology of organisms and their interaction with the environment. Outside reading and activities are used to keep the material current. We focus primarily on these subjects: where have we been and where we are going, ecosystems, human population, natural resources, biodiversity, energy, pollution and prevention, atmosphere, towards a sustainable future and what can you do to help. Doing this yearlong course, we will also be doing projects, activities and labs that will help us comprehend environmental science in great depth.
