Shonto Preparatory Technology High School is part of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). The AIA provides clear guidelines for schools and advocates for educational sports. We encourage all of our high school students to try out for athletics throughout the school year. Educational sports provides students with an outlet to gain and enhance various attributes including social skills, leadership skills, self-discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, responsibility, pride in their school/ community, and most importantly, understanding the concept of "Student first, Athlete second."
