The Staff Student Committee 2023/24 is up and running and looking forward to hearing from you!

The University places great value on the opinions of its students and there are various opportunities for you to get involved, both to have your say and also to represent the views of other students. Being a academic representative is rewarding work and can help you develop useful skills such as communication skills. It can also give you a greater understanding of how the University works as well as enabling you to play a role in decision making in your department and/or faculty.  The School has academic student representatives for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as student representatives that you can contact specifically if you want to raise issues to do with equality, diversity and inclusivity (EDI).

There are various ways to get in touch with your committee:

Your reps are here to listen to you!

You can contact them by emailing: English-reps@sheffield.ac.uk or for EDI specific matters: EDI-rep-EnglishUG@shef.ac.uk (undergraduate matters) or EDI-rep-EnglishPG@sheffield.ac.uk (postgraduate matters)
