About Me

Salwa is a pharmacist and a home-schooling mom of five children. Praise to God, she got her doctorate in pharmaceutical chemistry from the Free University in Berlin - Germany. She has studied as well several Islamic studies. 


 








She has worked as a designer of a special type. She has experienced CADD (Computer-aided drug design) with two different research groups in Germany and Switzerland. 


Computer-aided drug design (CADD), is an inventive process of designing and finding new medications based on the knowledge of a biological target. 

Salwa has worked as a Science content developer (steam projects) and volunteer science teacher in simplifying science programs in many charity places, including Bayan (El sidik mosque) and Montessori club (Alwan we Awtar El Mokatam). She is currently working as a Science teacher that explains natural sciences from an Islamic perspective in an online American Islamic schoolAn Islamic perspective that instills faith and belief in God and encourages children to contemplate the creation of God around them. She uses proper citation of the Qur’an and Sunnah in various subjects of science.

Salwa Soliman's Maker Journal

Salwa has mentored 3 teams in the 2022 Technovation Girls, a technology competition that supports young girls to invent mobile apps or AI devices to solve community problems. One of the teams has been final-listed over Egypt. She likes working with children, exploring new things, and gaining new knowledge.


The maker diploma will be of great help to excel in engineering design. This will help Salwa convey more steam projects and support more technology students.

Salwa doesn't have spare time :). However, she has practiced lots of skills and hobbies with her children and students. She likes paper crafts and needlework.
