EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY

SCHOLARSHIPS

Merit Scholarships

Merit scholarships are free money that you qualify for when you are admitted.  There is not a separate application for EKU merit-based scholarships.

Get rewarded for your high school academic achievement with EKU’s merit scholarships! Ranging from $1,000 up to the full in-state tuition amount per year, many scholarship levels are based solely on high school GPAs of 3.0 or higher. For the highest scholarship award, both your high school GPA and ACT score are used to determine eligibility. Merit scholarships are available for new incoming freshmen and automatically applied. Don’t miss out on these opportunities – the deadline to receive a merit scholarship is April 15th. The deadline to upgrade a merit scholarship award is June 30th (higher ACT score, etc).

Apply for EKU Foundation Scholarships

One application for over 500 different scholarships!

The Eastern Kentucky University Foundation, through the generosity of its donors, offers a variety of scholarship opportunities. EKU Foundation scholarships are awarded through the University Scholarship Office and at college and department levels. New and renewable awards of EKU Foundation scholarships are subject to available funds each year.

Many EKU Foundation scholarships are based on academic credentials such as major, grade point average, grade classification or ACT scores, or other criteria such as high school, county or state. Some scholarships are need-based and require data from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may access the FAFSA online.

*To complete the application, you need to be admitted and have received your EKU log in credentials.
