New Student Programs

New Student Programs

Overview

What do the San Francisco Giants, Choir and Student Makerspace have in common? These are related to activities coming to Petaluma City Schools this year through our new after-school enrichment programs. Activities range from a series of lessons, to one-time activities, to a lecture series. Any student enrolled in Petaluma City Schools will be able to participate in any activity regardless of the location of the event. For example, if choir is offered at McKinley Elementary School, students attending Grant may enroll in that class. These programs will be offered at no cost to the students.

Call for Volunteers

Volunteers are being recruited to lead these after school enrichment programs for our PCS students. We are calling for volunteers with a talent or a passion for an activity that they would like to share with PCS students. Programs can be tailored around volunteer's schedules. Think your talent/passion is not something students would be interested in? Think again. Use the link for more information: Volunteers for Student Programs

Guest Speaker Series

Another component of our new Student Programs is a guest speaker series for our high school students. Some of the speakers scheduled to attend are Dr. Ruben Arminana, retired president of Sonoma State University; Andrea Grossman, founder of Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory; Amy Gutierrez aka Amy G., SF Giants sportscaster and many more to come throughout the school year.
