Improved Communications Platform

Petaluma City Schools will be striving to improve communications throughout the district in the 2016-17 school year. These efforts will be supported by the introduction of some new and improved elements in our communications platform, including but not limited to a redesigned web presence, an integrated mobile application, and a web store for online payment and donations. Here is a preview of what is to come:

Redesigned Web Presence

A completely redesigned district website will be launched in the fall of 2016. This site will utilize the latest web technologies and allow all district stakeholders to easily access information about PCS. The overall design and layout of the new district website will later be used as the basis for redesigned websites for each school, to provide continuity in the flow of information across the 18 schools in our district.

Integrated Mobile Application

Over the past year, Petaluma City Schools has been developing a mobile application. This app will allow stakeholders to receive personalized push notifications to their mobile devices; for example, users can select to receive news from specific school sites and updates on their student's grades. More information will be available when the app is officially launched.

Web Store

A Web Store is under development that will provide the ability to make online donations/payments to PCS schools. Some schools are piloting the web store in the fall of 2016 for items such as athletic donations, iPad coverage and more. Monitor your school's website for more information as the web store is fully implemented.
