Nature Sustainability (2020)

This article is an important first step towards crowd-sourcing system knowledge from stakeholders. We hope that this will help overcome data scarcity that is prevalent in many wicked problems. As a management researcher, I do not usually publish in science journals and it was extremely interesting to adjust to different ways of writing and presenting data. Elementa: Science of the Anthropocene (2019)

This is one of a series of articles resulting from a three year project and ongoing knowledge exchange between participatory modelers from different disciplines and domains. The project was funded by Sesync. In addition to providing the unique experience of writing multiple papers in a team of 20+ authors (!), we gained many insights into research and system modeling practices in other fields, the joys and obstacles of interdisciplinary work, and the research needs in other fields.
