Hello dear parents and kids;

The weeks are passing by very fast, and now we are in the 3rd Quarter of the school year. This quarter we will be learning about "The Dining room" (comedor) and "The Living room" (sala).

We are practicing to say:

* I am in the / Yo estoy en ... In the Living room (la sala) / Dining room (el comedor).

* I see a/an yo veo... un/una/unos/unas

Table (una mesa), chair (una silla), sofa (un sofá), armchair (un sillón), lamp (una lámpara), carpet (una alfombra), T.V. (televisión), knife (cuchillo), spoon (cuchara), fork (tenedor). plate (plato), glass (vaso), cup (taza), napkin (servilleta), using place prepositions (usando preposiciones de lugar).

* Where is the... / Dónde está...? In the Living room (en la sala) / Dining room (en el comedor).

* In the Living room / Dining room, I can...set the table, clean, eat, watch TV En la sala / comedor Yo puedo... poner la mesa, limpiar, comer, ver televisión.

* We will also review the members of the family and numbers 20-50.

* Suggestions to help your student:

A) When you and your students are in the kitchen or in the living room, ask questions like what is this called in spanish? (try to practice the vocabulary we are learning in the class).

B) Ask your students to describe where things are using encima de (on the top of), debajo de (under) , al lado (next to), delante (in front of), detras (behind of).

C) Ask your student what kind of activities you can do in the kitchen, the living room, and the dining room.

D) Ask your student to name the members of your family.

* Work sheets: talk with your student about the project, or class work he/she is bringing home.
