Please ensure that your child arrive by 6:10 pm, with best dress or uniform. Make sure your student is wearing VERY WARM CLOTHES! We’re going to meet in the right side of the Amphitheater near the bathroom area, look for the signs that our volunteers and teachers will have, with your students home teacher’s name. Can’t wait to see you there!!

* YouTube Song Of La Marimorena

*Lyrics of the song "La Marimorena"

Have a great Winter Break!

What is happening in the spanish class in 2nd. Grade

Hello dear parents and students, December, Monday 11, 2017

The weeks are passing by very fast, and soon will be Christmas break! We will start the new unit, “Activities With Our Family”. At this time we will keep practicing the numbers 0 to 30, and identify/name different food we can eat at breakfast time, lunch time and dinner time. Your student will be able to identify and name food ( Manzana (apple), naranja (orange), uvas (grapes), plátano (banana), cereal con leche (cereal with milk), huevos (eggs), pollo (chicken), carne (beef), pescado (fish), arroz (raise)., and answer questions like:

*What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I eat for breakfast...I eat for lunch..., I eat for dinner.

¿Qué desayunas, almuerzas y cenas? Yo desayuno ..., yo almuerzo…, yo ceno...

We will start to work on a project, where the student will be able to describe different activities she/he can do in the kitchen: sacar del refrigerador… (take out of the fridge), poner la mesa (set the table), revolver/mezclar ingredientes (mix the ingredients), romper los huevos (break the eggs), lavar los trastes (wash the dishes). Remember that if you would like to help your student to practice their Spanish after school, you can go to my website and get the link for the YouTube songs use in class, and flashcards/games on Quizlet.

.

Have a great week!
