Our counseling department's mission is to promote a culture of connections by being actively involved with students as they navigate their educational learning path by providing access to social/emotional supportive resources that remove roadblocks and empower students to build a connection between self-persistence while acquiring knowledge, attitudes, and interpersonal skills that contributes to effective learning in school.

Social Emotional Support from NVLA's Safe School Professional

Yael C. Reis, M.S., LMFT is a licensed therapist and has been a mental health professional since 2011. Yael has been working as a Safe School Professional (SSP) since December 2019. She offers telehealth support for students and guardians in the form of CBT coping skills and community resources referrals.
