Mrs. Jensen is currently in her twelfth year at NMS as a Learning Specialist. She feels grateful to work with such an awesome group of teachers and students in grade 6. Prior to teaching in Norton, she taught 4th & 5th graders at a therapeutic day school in Needham, MA. Mrs. Jensen graduated from Stonehill College where she studied Elementary Education. She also holds a Masters degree in Special Education from Salem State College. Besides her obvious love for helping and teaching kids, she enjoys spending time at the beach on Martha’s Vineyard during the summer, and skiing in New Hampshire during the winter months. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. Mrs. Jensen has 2 children (Logan, age 8 and Parker, age 2). Mrs. Jensen also loves to travel. Her favorite places she has visited are Hawaii and Ireland. When she can find the time, she also enjoys reading. Her favorite children’s novel is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane By: Kate DiCamillo. On the weekends, Mrs. Jensen enjoys doing fun activities with her family, going for walks, watching movies, and going out to eat. She is looking forward to a great year!
