Pre-Columbian American Civilizations - Day 1:  Research

If you were not assigned a civilization to research choose either the Aztecs, Inca, or Maya and use the internet to research your civilization. Use the worksheet to the left to guide your research. Find several facts for each box and also make sure to track the sources you use. This is part one of a three part project. Each part is part of the final grade.

Using a sheet of blank white paper follow the requirements listed on the rubric to the left to create a poster about your civilization. This should be colored, neat, informative, and your best work. Make sure you include the things it asks for in the "Fabulous Work!" column. This is part two of a three part project. Each part is part of the final grade.

Pre-Columbian American Civilizations - Day 3:  Teach Others/Learn About The Other Civilizations

In class we will be sharing what we learned about each civilization with the other groups. Use this worksheet to get information about the other seven civilizations. If you missed that day in class go to the lecture button of this unit and get the information from there.  This is part three of a three part project. Each part is part of the final grade.

Aztec Meal: 

Watch this short 11 minute video about what the Aztecs ate before Columbus and the Europeans arrived and mark which food the Aztecs ate on the worksheet (There are 10 correct answers). Then on the back design an Aztec meal that includes:

1 Appetizer

1 Main Course

2 Side Dishes

1 Dessert

Be sure to write what your meal is and draw a picture of it.
