Investigating and Discovering About the Other and Me
In this summative, communicative, and intercultural task-based lesson plan, learners, in pairs, create a fully functional, interactive, discovery-based app game with Metaverse. The content of students’ games will pertain to accurately and fluently using the communicative skills of interpersonal speaking and interpretive reading to produce language concerning the various semantic, pragmatic, and grammatical objectives related to the modal verb “can” and the regular verb “like.”

Learners integrate into their game text, audio, or video-based content designed to have users reflect on cultural knowledge, or cultural comparisons related to America and Japan’s cultural artifacts and milieus.
Learners engage in real-time interactions with the target language in their communities or online language forums by being able to share their Metaverse experience through a QR code.
