AP Psychology Summer Assignment

AP PSYCHOLOGY SUMMER ASSIGNMENT 2019

This summer assignment will give you the opportunity to learn the history and science of psychology and give you a taste of psychological topics like emotions or stress and your health. It will also familiarize you with the accepted format for the journal entries required. Each unit of study is broken into modules and each module has a varied number of objectives. You must complete a journal entry for each objective.

You must meet several requirements in order to receive full credit. First, you will need to label your journal entry with the unit title, the appropriate module (number and title), the objective number (there is no need to write out the objective), and the date completed.

The next requirement of your journal entries will be specifically geared towards making connections between the stated objectives and the reading that follows. You should write two facts from the readings that help to address the objective.

The last component of journal entries will be making some form of personal connection to what you have just read. This could be an observation of something that has occurred in your life and an explanation as to what pointed you to that thought. You can also pose questions that have arisen as a result of reading the text and why you now have those questions.

Write the journal entries for the objectives in the following units:

Introduction to the History and Science of Psychology

Module 1, Obj. 1 through 8

Module 2, Obj. 1 through 8

Module 3, Obj. 1 through 16

THEN:

Emotion

Module 38, Obj. 1 through 7

Module 39, Obj. 1 through 5

Module 40, Obj. 1 through 9

OR

Stress and Health

Module 41, Obj. 1 through 10

Module 42, Obj. 1 through 7

Module 43, Obj. 1 through 6

A note on plagiarism: You may not simply copy information from the Learning Outcomes at the back of each Module. You also may not copy and paste things found on the internet. All work must be original and seek to connect the material to your own lives. As you will see in this course, this is an excellent memory tool.
