"What is the Greathouse PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association is a volunteer organization that strives to provide a sense of extended community and to support the school, teachers, parents and each individual child. The Greathouse PTA strives to give each student an equal opportunity to be successful learners by partnering as parents, students, teachers, staff, and community members.

Our PTA coordinates several events during the year and organizes many other important projects, including Teacher Appreciation Week, campus beautification, Be Your Best incentive program, Spelling Bee, Talent Show, yearbook, and vision screenings.

Who can join the Greathouse PTA?

Anyone! Parents, students, siblings, neighbors, grandparents, and friends. All community members are welcome.

Why join the Greathouse PTA?

The PTA offers the opportunity to be engaged in your child’s potential. Being a member of the PTA means that you are a part of a powerful organization that advocates on behalf of Greathouse students at a school, district, state and national level. Our school holds general PTA members meetings once per month. These meetings are optional for members but are a great way to engage in our school community. There’s no wrong way to PTA! The only requirement for PTA membership is to pay the $6 annual fee. Beyond that, how you choose to PTA is up to you. From volunteering at school events, chairing a PTA committee, or joining our PTA Officers Board - there is no wrong way to PTA!"

On the "PTA Membership" page - can we have a link to the page to join? Our membership drive will be done completely online this year so it would be good to have an easy way to direct people to the Member Hub page to join. Here's some text for the page if you want to use it:

"Membership in the Greathouse PTA is $6 per person.

We will accept new members all year long.

How to join the Greathouse PTA?

Our Membership Drive has gone virtual! All memberships must be registered and paid online. Visit the Greathouse MemberHub page to register your members: https://greathouse.new.memberhub.store/membership.

 Membership Drive Incentives:

-Students who register 3+ memberships will be given a homework pass!

-For every 2 memberships each student registers, they will get 1 entry in our prize drawings throughout the Membership Drive. (Drawings will be held on August 26, September 9 and October 3)

-The class in each grade level with the highest number of PTA members will receive a donut party at the end of the membership drive!
