BIBLE: We have begun the unit: "Growing Popularity". Our first lesson focuses on Jesus' feet being anointed.

MEMORY WORK: for Wednesday, June 13 - Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

MATH: Geometry is the current unit. . We are now working on a review. The test is set for Thursday, June 14th.

SPELLING: Lesson 34 Test Thursday, June 14.

TECHNOLOGY: We are working on coding in Scratch where students will use basic programming constructs to create simple programs.

FRENCH: This year's play is Un Jour Bizarre. This is a fun play containing numerous well-known fairy tale characters all in one story. A girl finds ways to help these characters with their different problems and then wakes up, realizing that it was all just a dream.

Classes with Miss Bertrand:

LITERACY - In preparation for beginning our novel study, we will focus on reading strategies and building comprehension. We are also focusing on strengthening grammar skills and will revise and publish our favourite writing sample from Term 1.

DRAMA - We are learning cooperative improv games

SOCIALS - We will learn about life in 'Canada' prior to Confederation.

Classes with Mrs. Dykstra:

  • Art: This month, students are working on entries for the Caledonia fair in September.
  • Science: Students are working on a unit to observe different changes in matter.

Classes with Mrs. DeBoer:

  • P.E - The students will be playing a few of their favourite games for the remaining classes.
  • Health-

Classes with Mrs. Cegelnik:

  • Music - Music class (Jr. Band) meets twice each week on Wednesdays and Fridays. Students are required to bring their instrument and music folder to each class session. Students are graded on a class-by-class basis as follows: attendance 34%(excused if absent due to illness/appointment), recorder 33%, book 33%.
  • Performance: Students are very busy preparing songs for the Spring Concert.
