HVCHS STEM Pathways

Each pathway focuses on a STEM domain. Students in the various pathways must complete the credit options as outlined as per the STEM Pathway and complete the STEM Pathways Capstone Experience.  The STEM Pathways Capstone Experience is an engineering research project in which students design and develop an original solution to a community-centered technical problem by applying the engineering design process. The experience applies and concurrently develops secondary level knowledge and skills in mathematics, science, and technology. Students will work within their pathway (computer science, biomedical, environmental, engineering), collaboratively with teacher advisers and community experts, in the design of their project. Students will be expected to present their findings to a panel of community members.
