STREAM

What is STREAM?

STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art and Math) is

  • an integrated, interdisciplinary and student-centered approach to learning that provides hands-on, relevant learning experiences for students and encourages curiosity, exploration and innovation,
  • preparing our students for 21st century success skills: collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication, problem solving and computer science,
  • preparing our students to solve real-world problems through inquiry and authentic project based learning,
  • preparing our students for future jobs, some of which don't even exist now,
  • and "exposing students to an array of STREAM-related jobs through interaction with STREAM professionals, so that students understand how science and math concepts and procedures apply in the work environment."
