About Mrs. Kinney

Hi! My name is Traci Kinney and I am so happy to one of your School Counselors at Bethel Elementary! This is my 10th year as a school counselor, and 4th year in Greenville County. I grew up in the Asheville area and lived there until 2014 when I moved here. I attended college at UNC-Asheville, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to take an internship class where I fell in love with school counseling. After that, I went to Appalachian State University and received my Master's Degree in School Counseling at the Specialist level. I am also a National Certified Counselor. One thing that makes me unique is that I have a twin sister! Anyone who knows me knows that I love my dogs, Deakon and Murphy. They are definitely part of our family. My favorite part of being a counselor is getting to develop meaningful relationships with my students. I strive to present my lessons and counseling sessions in a fun and creative way.
