Course Description: Government will focus on the foundations of American government and how it works through the study of democracy as a form of rule. This will include, from a Federal level, the political process in relationship to the concept of government by the people, as well as, the three branches of government and the concept of separation of powers. This course of study will also cover the operation of State and local governments within a Federal system.
