Meet the teachers

This is my twenty-fourth  year teaching kindergarten at Sue Cleveland and I really enjoy it.   I am originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from Millersville University in 1998.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in both elementary and early childhood education.  I wanted to enjoy the sunny south, so I moved down to South Carolina.  I live in Powdersville with my husband and my three sons, Joshua, Josiah, and Elijah.  I love being a mom and enjoy spending time with my family.  I also volunteer in the children’s area a lot at my church.  Teaching children and watching them grow and learn is my passion.

My teaching assistant's name is Valerie Miller.  This is her 25th year as a kindergarten teacher’s assistant at Sue Cleveland Elementary.  She has worked as my assistant for the past 23 years and we make a great team!  She loves working with kindergarten students.  She lives in Moonville with her husband and she has two grown sons.  She likes to sing, read, and watch high school and college football games.  She is a BIG Gamecock fan!  She loves working with kindergarten students and enjoys seeing them grow and learn.
