The purpose of this class is to help students with their English proficiency. Here you will learn how to read, write, listen to and speak in English.

Learning Goals for the Year (Metas de aprendizaje para el año)

I hope that with this class, you will feel more comfortable speaking the language with your teachers, classmates and friends. The goal this year is to improve your social and academic vocabulary.

Text We will use the National Geographic Inside Fundamentals 1 collection. This includes a student reading and language textbook, student writing textbook, practice book, writer's workout, e-content, leveled library, and content library.

All assignments will fall into one of two categories:

50% - Major Grades (Unit Tests and Summative Projects) 3 major grades per quarter

50% - Minor Grades (Classwork, Quizzes, Oral Reading Fluency, Homework) 9 minor grades per quarter
