About the Teacher & Contact Information

My name is Amy Simmons and I am going to be your child’s 4K teacher. This will be my fifth year of teaching!

I grew up in New Jersey with my wonderful family, but I now live in the great state of South Carolina with my sweet husband. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University. GO TIGERS! I just graduated with my Master's in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Furman University.

I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of your children. I am excited to be a part of the Slater-Marietta Elementary family!

I believe that education is one of the greatest gifts a person can receive. Children need to be given the knowledge to be successful, the courage to work as hard as possible, and the belief that they can do whatever they put their mind to. I love working with children and am honored to be a part of their learning.
