All About

Mrs. Folk

I am so excited to be working with your child this year.   I grew up in Atlanta, GA and Asheville, NC.   I moved to Greenville to attend Furman University and remained here after graduating in 2006.  I earned my masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Furman as well while beginning my teaching career in second grade at Monaview Elementary.  I took some time out of the classroom while my children were young and tutored privately after being trained in the Orton Gillingham Approach.

I returned to the classroom in 2018 and am so thrilled to be back at Taylors again for the 2023-2024 school year.   Reading education is my passion!

My husband and I live in Taylors with our two girls, Elizabeth (12) and Katherine (10).   We love spending time with our family, riding bikes, and hiking with our dogs (Marshall and Jackson).   We also have a cat named Whiskers and a new Kitten (Noah).   I love hydrangeas, all things blue, the beach, and hanging out with friends!
