With the return to school schedule in place, teachers, students and parents will have to be flexible. As you know, your child will be in school a limited number of days a week. While students are at home there will be assignments posted. Law enforcement students will have to log into Google Classroom each day to receive/watch the post lesson. The video lesson is recorded the same time I am teaching in the classroom. You will be able to hear questions and/or commits from other students. After class, the recorded lesson will be posted for review. Each lesson will consist of a recorded lecture base instruction with color coded notes. Students are required to have a note book to follow the lesson. Students will need to hand write the notes in their law enforcement notebook. The notes are color coded to emphasize importance.

Red notes are what students must write because they are the key points of the lesson. Red explains the law and police procedures and application of the law. Tests and assessments will be based on red notes

Blue notes give further information on the Red notes/key topic. Blue notes are not required (but recommended when needed) to write but helps to give further details of the subject matter.

Black notes are discussion topics and should not be written. Black notes are based on scenarios, what if, videos, real world events or court opinions.

Again let me repeat. When watching the video/recorded lesson in Google Classroom the student is required to write out their notes and respond to posted questions or comments. Each recorded lesson will only be posted for 24 hours. Do not wait till the next day to do what is required. Your notebook will be used for formal assessments. Students will not screen shot or take pictures of posted notes to use in class. Student notebooks will be inspected and used during in class assignments and tests. Please be flexible with expectations. As the school year progress there will be expected changes.
