About Me

Hello and Welcome! This is my sixth year teaching at J. L. Mann and I am excited to share my appreciation of science with my students and hope to inspire them to continue their studies within the realm of science.

I was born and raised in Michigan and have lived in the Greenville area for over 10 years. After a successful career in IT of 20 years, I went back to school to achieve a life long dream of becoming a teacher. I received two Associate degrees from Greenville Tech and my Bachelor's degree in Physics from Furman University.  In 2023, I started a Master of Physics program at Texas A&M Commerce.

I have been married for over 20 years years and and together we have a son, a dog, and two cats. While not teaching, my family and I can be found camping, traveling, and playing one of our hundreds of board games. My hobbies include fencing (of which I am a certified fencing coach), astrophotography, astronomy, fishing, and painting miniatures for use in wargames.
