About Ms. Rimmler

Welcome to Ms. Rimmler's Reading Room! I am so excited to be the 4th & 5th Grade Reading Interventionist this year at Monarch.

This school year will mark my 17th year as an educator and my second year as an Interventionist. I have previously taught 5th grade for 12 years, as well as a mix of grades 2, 4, &, 6, too! As you will soon find out, I am passionate about organization, trying new things, and having lots of fun. I love traveling, shopping, sports, and a fabulous cup of coffee! I am a HUGE country music fan and enjoy spending time at my family’s beach house in Sag Harbor, NY during the summer.

I graduated from College Misericordia, which is in Dallas, Pennsylvania. Since graduating, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year in 2017-2018 when teaching in New Jersey and the Distinguished Teacher of Literacy at Monarch Elementary School in 2019-2020. Several years ago, I was selected to attend the Summer Reading Institute at Teachers College at Columbia University to learn more about the Language Arts workshop model. Additionally, I hosted Jennifer Serravallo in my labsite classroom when she was a literacy teacher consultant at my school in New Jersey. I have participated in the Digital Leader Corps, where I learned and collaborated with my fellow colleagues to infuse technology into our classrooms each day.

I am looking forward to making this the best school year yet and be your child’s literacy guide through the exciting year ahead. I am a firm believer in teamwork and partnership, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me so we can work together to make it a wonderful year!
