************* HOMEWORK HELP ************

Homework is assigned each dayand light work for Wednesdays. Students are expected to complete their homework before reporting to class the following day. Sometimes, students who finish their work early in class may work on their homework before bringing it home. However, our procedure calls for them to still bring it home to show you and get it double-checked before they bring it back the following day.

Not sure if your child REALLY has no homework? Or, is your child forgetful? Remember to use the "Study Buddy" network. Your son or daughter has a list of several phone numbers of other friends in class that they can call for homework help. Be sure to utilize the list. It can be a lifesaver! Some parents have even used the Study Buddy Network to get help from other parents on especially troublesome work. Don't forget. As a resource, each assignment book has my home phone number. If all else fails, please call me!

Tip of the Day:

The family that reads together LEARNS together. Reading with your child each day is the best way to not only help you grow closer, but is an excellent way to help your child's vocabulary and view of the world to grow and develop as well. Often, children and parents find that reading together at night right before bedtime, establishes a special quiet time together, creating a positive bonding time that will create life-long memories. To help establish the reading routine, try visiting the Greenville County Bookmobile, a library on wheels. Students in our class who visit the bookmobile receive two extra tickets for that day! Be sure to check out the schedule that your child brings home the first week of school. Lost your copy? Visit the library's website at:www.greenvillelibrary.orgfor lots of good information!

We have also begun the "Hall of Fame." Any student who can score 200 A.R.points in fourth grade will be enshrined in the Fourth Grade Hall of Fame forever. Can your child be included in this exclusive group?
